My First Day at School
I used to wake up during dawn time around 4-5 am on those days. I was very naughty and never wanted to sit silently. Every day a lot of complaints came from the neighbors about my regular activities like throwing stones to their glass windows, biting sonu, monu and chinki while playing and so on. When it crossed the limit, then my parents decided to admit me in a nursery at the age of 3.
That was Wednesday, morning if i could remember properly, i woke up in my regular time around 5am morning. My mother brushed my teeth and took me for bath. I asked my mother again and again, why were u bathing me so early, i used to take bath around 11am in the morning before that. She replied me, u were going to meet a lot of friends of your age. I got really excited and planned to invite them to my home in afternoon for playing video game. At that age, i was really mad about the car racing video game, and no one could n't able to defeat me on that game. Thats why i was looking for one who can challenge me.
It was quarter to 7, but still i was not ready, still taking my breakfast, my father had been waiting for me on scooter for 5mins, and buzzing the horn, i hurried, with out combing my hair and tightening my laces.
We(me,mamma and pappa) went by scooter to B.P. English medium school, Bhubaneswar which was just 2 km away from my home. And i was the first one to reach in the school. One old lady came to receive us, and started asking a lot of question to me(like what is your name? father's name? mother's name? bla bla bla). I got really angry,and i wanted to escape from her. So, i told to my mother, i wanted to go to toilet. Then, my mother took me to toilet near the corridor, and after we came back, saw a lot of kids of my age had gathered near that. My father, handed over my bag to the old lady and told me that "you go and play with other friends, we will be back in another five minutes, we forgot our wallet at home. We want to buy a nice car for you from the market".
But, from the conversion with the ayah, i came to know that they will come after 11 AM once the school is over. After knowing that, i started crying, threw away all my shoes and bags on the ground. The ayah hugged me tightly and didn't let me go with my parents. She took me inside the class, and gave me a lot of chocolates. But, i threw away all of them on her face and didn't stop crying.
After sometime, i stopped crying, but could not able to mix with other kids.
In the class, i was sitting on the first row silently, not talking to anyone. All the kids were shouting, and playing around the class. After sometime, i slept crying on the bench. And the teacher took me to a safe place. After 11, my parents came and asked about what happened in the class. I told, "i slept there after you left me..." then they burst into laughter and even i too started laughing.
This is how, i spent my first day at school, after that i never cried in school but continued to sit on the same place on the first bench, where i started my "first day at School".
